Hi everyone, Just wanted to share this layout I created using lots of products from the Magnolia Lane collection.

I used some butterflies and flowers from the Diecut Ephemera Set, and fussy cut the pieces below from the 'Magnolia Borders' paper.

Diecut two leaves using 'Rose Cutting' from Denim cardstock, and 'Rosey Frame'  from Ivory cardstock.  Cut frame in half and attach to upper left hand side as shown below.

Build up your layers using the 'Timeless Garden' stamps, cut-off strips, and fussy cut pieces.  Add diecut pieces, Paper Magnolias, and a Rosette.  Use Adore, from the 'Rosey Frame' diecut, as your title.

Enjoy the little things!

Hi there, it's Tina back with a fun layout to share with you.

Look at all that gorgeous shimmer! Love it!!!

I layered some washi tape across my page, then spread Fire Engine, Just Blue, and Royalty Colour Pastes through a stencil.  Once dry, I spray through another stencil using Royalty and Just Blue Shimmer Sprays.  I added lots of drips (from the excess on the stencil) which dried to create a lovely effect.

The die-cut words were heat embossed using Fire Engine Embossing Powder.

Happy scrapping!

Technique Tags

Hi everyone!  Here's a couple of tags I created (as part of a very big canvas) that beautifully showcase the versatility of the Colour Blast products.

On this tag I used Snow White Colour Paste through a stencil and used a tiny smear of  Deep Water Colour Paste to create a slight colour variation.  Bling and Royalty Colour Pastes were used to colour the resin frame.  The Couture Creations diecut was embossed with Snow White and Singing the Blues. and the chipboard title embossed with Deep Water.  I also embossed the metal filigree piece using Lovely Lilac.

I smeared Deep Water and Snow White Colour Pastes onto a plain white flower - the colour and shimmer and just gorgeous in real life.

My two completed tags - so much sparkly goodness!
(The photos just don't do these products justice!)

Did you know you can use the Shimmer Spray to colour laces and flowers?

Tags & Tips!

Hi there, hope you're able to find some time today to get crafty!  If I only have a small amount of time spare I love to experiment with different techniques on some tags.  Here's a few tips and tricks I discovered along the way....

Colour Blast Embossing Powders - depending what the colour is that you are embossing will effect the resulting embossed colour.  If you use Snow White over a white painted piece of chipboard the  effect is white...

but if you use it over natural chipboard the result is more silver coloured.  Used over natural wood, it gives a slightly golden, antique colour....pretty cool hey?  Three different effects from the one embossing powder!

You can create really cool effects by using two different embossing colours!  Ink the item, sprinkle part of it with one colour, shake off excess, and sprinkle with the second colour, and heat to melt.
I used this on some of the leaves, and the "happy" chipboard piece.

Colour white flowers with Colour Blast Shimmer Spray for co-ordinating blooms.

Stencils from your die-cuts!

Hi there, I had lots of fun with this one!  As I'm sure you all know I love playing with mixed media, so I created my own stencil using the Drifting Feather die.

I I spread some Gesso accross my page using an old gift card.  This will help your mists to run, instead of soaking straight into the paper, and adds extra strength to your page.

Cut the large clockface to use as a dreamcatcher, and adhere to page.  Cut four Drifting Feathers from cardstock.  Use the negative as a stencil, applying modelling paste as pictured, and stencil three feathers to hang from the clockface.  Allow to dry.

Cut Magnolia Cutting from white cardstock and emboss using Chunky Glacier White (2/3rd) and Gold Chunky Crystals (1/3rd) embossing powders.

Spray and drip some mists over the stenciled feathers.

Stamp butterflies from Timeless Garden Stamp set onto acetate, bend the acetate so the butterfly wings sit up, and adhere.

More customised embossing powders were made using a mix of Chunky Gold, Chunky Glacier White and Sapphire Pearl Gems embossing powders.

I added some adhesive pearls, diecut ephemera, paper magnolias, and  small paper roses.

Hi everyone, Today I'm sharing a really fun layout using black background to really showcase the vibrant colours and shimmer.

Apply 'Deep Water' Colour Paste through a stencil and allow to dry.  Then apply 'Sunshine' Colour Paste through another stencil.

Apply embossing ink through a stencil, lift the stencil away and sprinkle with Colourblast 'Fire Engine' Embossing Powder, and heat till melted.

Cover frame with white paint, then heat emboss with Sunshine Embossing Powder.

And here's a few closeups of the finished layout.  The sparkle is really cool in real life!
